BETTY RUTH BAY November 12, 1939 - APRIL 22, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Betty Ruth Bay, age 73, of 20 Chase Avenue, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2013 at her residence. Born in Sherwood, TN, she was the daughter of the late Henry Guess and Lillie Mae Garner Guess Ritchie. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by her husband, William Arthur Bay, of the home; a stepfather, Raymond Ritchie of Chattanooga, TN; daughters, Carolyn Langen of Anderson, SC, Genevea Bell of Pelzer, SC, Kimberly McSkimming of Ashtabula, OH, and Christine Chaplin of Byesville, OH; a brother, Will Guess of Rossville, GA; a sister-in-law, Diana Roxbury of Elwood, PA; a brother-in-law, James Bay of Cambridge, OH; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Guess and a sister, Sue Hunkapillar. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2013at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Lawrence Houston Bradford officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.
