Betty Jo Rampey Boggs Iva, SC Betty Jo Rampey Boggs, 79 years old, of 4931 Flat Rock Road, Iva , SC died April 27, 2014, at the Rainey Hospice House. She was a homemaker and active member of Asaville Baptist Church. She enjoyed holding devotions and singing as a volunteer at Willow Creek Nursing Home for many years and loved visiting with her "Burger King Buddies". She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Glenn M. Boggs and a son, James S. Boggs. Born in Central, SC on August 2, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Joe Henry and Maggie Summey Rampey. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Henry and Bobby Rampey; and a sister, Margaret Rampey. Surviving are sons, Roger (Susan) Boggs, of Anderson, Donnie (Tammy) Boggs, of Iva, Tony (Charlotte) Boggs, of Savannah, and daughter, Martha (Ray) McAlister, of Iva. Also surviving are sisters, Alice (Clyde) Callahan, of Six Mile, Nancy (Curtis) Heaton, of Six Mile; brothers, Lewis Ray (Vivian) Rampey, of Lexington, George (Sara) Rampey, of Six Mile, and Jerry (Brenda) Rampey, of Sandy Springs; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Willimon, of Six Mile, Gennie Hendricks, of Easley, Dora Jane Duncan, of Six Mile; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Boggs, of Greenwood; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The Funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Drew Martin, Mr. Andy Boggs and Reverend Harold Walters officiating. Interment will be held following the service at Southlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A special thanks to all of the family, friends, caregivers, doctors and nurses who unselfishly provided care for Mom during her illness.
