Betty Jane Hoffpauir Boggs, age 92, of Fair Play, SC, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at her home.

Born May 5, 1932, in Gueydan, LA, she was a daughter of the late Neelis Ranzie Hoffpauir and Mary Louise Suire Hoffpauir. She was married to Ralph Lewis Boggs until his death in 2010. She was also preceded in death by brother, Cecil Wayne Hoffpauir; sister, Faye Anne Hoffpauir Carlton; and grandson, Perry Farrow.

Betty was the owner and operator of Betty Boggs Tax Consultant for over 50 years. She was an avid traveler and had visited all 50 states. She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible. She was member of Woodmen of the World and Temple Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Neelis "Neal" Ralph Boggs and his wife Joyce; daughter, Paula Jean Boggs Swofford; grandson, Charles Lewis Swofford; 3 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 3:00-3:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 4:00 pm in the Chapel. A private entombment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
