Betty Crumpton Stegall Bonnett, 84, of Anderson, SC passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Linley Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was twice married, first to the late Harold Stegall, and then to the late Francis L. Bonnett. Betty was the youngest daughter of Henry Walker Crumpton and Lucy Anne Morton Crumpton. She was raised right at the foot of Stump House Mountain, three miles above Walhalla, SC in the "Crumpton's Fruit Orchard". She had wonderful Christian parents. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Genia Winona Crane and Grace Elizabeth Smith; and four brothers, Marvin McKinley, Henry Walker Jr., James Tillman and Robert Leonard "Bob" Crumpton. Mrs. Bonnett has four children, Betty Sue White of Anderson, David Harold Stegall of Atlanta, GA, and Ronald Curtis Stegall and wife, Cathy of Anderson, SC, a most precious daughter, Ann Loretta Turnage, who lived in the home for many years; three grandchildren, Roger Dale Parker and wife, Donna, Lester Brooks and wife, Marie, and Ronni Nicole Atkinson and husband, John; also surviving are seven great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, February 17, 2018, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Danny Keen officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
