Betty Partain Brawner, age 90, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022, in Anderson, SC. Born January 21, 1932, in Elberton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Bennie England Craft and Sally Ruth Evans Craft. Betty retired from manufacturing at BASF. She enjoyed listening to both blue grass and southern gospel music. She dearly loved her church and family and was a devoted member of Gethsemane Baptist Temple. She is survived by her children, Charles Partain (Sherry), and Janet Saville, both of Anderson, SC; sisters, Sue Bowers of GA, and Peggy Gaines of VA; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brawner; first husband, Newton H. Partain; son, Steven Michael Partain; three brothers; and two sisters. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 25, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow visitation in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Sam Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
