Betty Sue Shirley Carnes, 64, of Honea Path, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born November 19, 1953 in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late Marvin McDaniel and Annie Clara Crawford Shirley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray Junior Carnes and brother, Clarence Hester Shirley. Betty was known for the love she had for her family. Her greatest joy was being a grandmother to her granddaughter, Paizley. She is survived by her daughter, Ashley Rae Patterson (Hunter) of Honea Path; granddaughter, Paizley Rae Faith Patterson of Honea Path; brother, John Marvin Shirley of Anderson and sister, Mary Jane Hawkins (George) of Anderson. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm Thursday, November 15, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 12:30pm Friday.
