She was a member of Andersonville Baptist Church.She lived for her family and was the loving wife of 52 years to her husband, Marshall 'Buddy' Carver; a caring mother to Jenny Burdette and her husband, Dale; Gail Metz, all of Iva; Margie Pruitt and her husband, George; Lorrie Pike and her husband, Jeff, all of Anderson; a loving Nana to her grandchildren, Nathan Purdy, Jenna Harris, Sterling Metz, Seth Pruitt, Kennedie and Grant Pike and great-grandchildren, Lily Purdy and Kylie Harris. She is also survived by brothers, Gene Pierce, Joe Pierce, David 'Bo' Pierce and Roger Pierce; sisters, Linda Cash and Anita Porter, all of Anderson. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Hazel Kelly.A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 3:30 pm at South Lawn Memorial Gardens officiated by the Reverend Bruce Evans.
