Betty D. Dean, age 95, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Summit Place Anderson.

Born April 13, 1930, in Starr, SC, she was a daughter of the late Fred Dean and Junita Drake Dean. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady Clinkscales Dean; and one sister, Emily Fowler.

Betty was retired from the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and was a member of Starr Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sister, Margaret Duffell of Starr; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 2:00-3:00 pm at Starr Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm with Rev. Tony Howell and Rev. Mike Davis officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Those serving as pallbearers for the service include Steve Duffell, Mark Duffell, Jody Watt, Chase Duffell, Jeffery Hall, and Carter Hall.
