Betty David Dickson, age 86, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Rainey Hospice House. Born January 6, 1935, in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late John Howard David and Katheryn Howell Wall. She was married to Bobby Thomas Dickson until his death in August 2014. Betty was a graduate of Girls High. She enjoyed camping, flower gardening and spending time with her beloved family and dog Mickey. She is survived by her children, Ken Dickson (Deanna) of Easley, Lyn Lazar Darby (Mike) of Due West, and Sherrill Dickson Martin of Anderson; grandchildren, Brad Dickson, Kyle Dickson (Autumn), Daniel Dickson and Dakota Martin; sister, Margaret Lewis; and niece, Missy McConnell (Russell). In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bradley Dean Sears; and sister, Carol Eubanks. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 20, 2021, from 12:30-1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Bill Rigsby officiating. Burial will follow at Old Silver Brook Cemetery. Flowers are welcomed and memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family will be at their respective homes.
