Betty Ann League Elrod, age 87, of 602 Porter Road, Pendleton, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, September 16, 2017, surrounded by her family. Born in Piedmont, SC on May 5, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Tad League and the late Gaynell Allen League. For fifty-eight years, she was the loving and devoted wife of the late Rev. Guyton M. Elrod until his death in 2003. Mrs. Elrod retired from JP Stevens after fifty-two years of employment. She was a charter member of East Clemson Christian Fellowship. Survivors include three daughters, Debbie Lewis and husband Jimmy of Mountain Rest, SC, Peggy Driver and husband Danny of Clinton, SC, and Linda McCall and husband Larry of Anderson; a niece Pat Bagwell and husband Tommy of Easley, SC; also surviving are six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Guyton, Mrs. Elrod was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and John League; and two sisters, Jackie Hiott and Carri Clark. The funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Betty Ann Elrod will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at 12 p.m. at the East Clemson Christian Fellowship, with Rev. Chucky Chandler, Rev. Danny Driver and Rev. Larry McCall officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.
