ESTEP January 19, 1950 - March 23, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Betty Howe Estep, age 57, wife of Bob Estep of 510 Canebrake Drive of Anderson, died Friday, March 23, 2007 at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Hospital, Houston, TX.Born in Minden, Louisiana on January 19, 1950, Mrs. Estep was a daughter of the late William Howe and Evelyn Pool Howe. Mrs. Estep formerly lived in Toledo, Ohio where she was employed by the Champion Spark Plug Company, was a beautician at Ma'chere Hair Salon and worked with the Sylvania School System. She was also a member of the Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Toledo. Upon moving to Burlington, Iowa, she was employed by Champion Spark Plug Company where she was active in the union. She was a member of West Hill United Methodist Church in Burlington, Iowa. After Betty and her husband retired, they moved to Anderson, SC, where she worked as an assistant teacher with Anderson County School District Five. She was a member of the Stone Creek Cove Golf Club and a member of Ruhamah United Methodist Church in Starr, SC. Survivors include her husband, Bob Estep of the home; son, Mark D. Estep and his wife, Tara of Waterloo, Iowa; daughter, Michelle A. Estep-Hamer and her husband, Scott of Toledo, Ohio and their children, James and Jaylyn; brothers, Ken Howe of Bastrop, LA and David Howe of Junction City, AR; sisters, Kathy Dowdell of Atkins, AR, Billie Young of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Sherlene Underwood of Van Buren, AR.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Howe.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Ruhamah United Methodist Church in Starr, SC officiated by the Reverend Amy Dill and Earl Gunsallus.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Thursday, March 29, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.Flowers are optional.
