ANDERSON, SC'Mrs. Betty May Frazee Funk, age 78, wife of Robert B. Funk of 508 Timber Lane, Anderson, SC died on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson, SC.Born on May 17, 1927 in Redondo Beach, California, Mrs. Funk was a daughter of the late Earl W. Frazee and the late Addie Edith Underdown Frazee. She received her Bachelors Degree at Occidental College in Los Angeles, California and her Masters of Education from the College of William and Mary. She was a retired educator having taught in California, Michigan, Virginia, and South Carolina and had a lifelong love of teaching children of all ages to read. In later years, she was the Director of the Reading Center at Anderson College. She was also a member of St. John's United Methodist Church.Mrs. Funk is survived by her husband, Robert B. Funk of the home; two sons, Paul Robert Funk and his wife Debra of Greer, SC and Glenn Richard Funk and his wife, Lori of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Frank Stephen Frazee of Escondido, CA and Charles William Frazee of Palm Desert, CA; a sister, Lois Marguerite Remington of Torrance, CA; and four grandchildren, Katherine Elizabeth Funk, Mary Landon Funk, Robert B. Funk, II, and Samuel Henry Funk.The family is at the residence.
