BETTY LOU HANVEY June 7 1947 - March 20, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Betty Lou Hanvey, age 59, wife of William Hanvey of 505 Whitehall Road, Anderson, SC, died Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at her residence. Born in Anderson, SC on June 7, 1947, Mrs. Hanvey was the daughter of the late James 'Luke' Shirley and Mattie Stewart Shirley. She was a 1965 graduate of T. L. Hanna High School and worked with Alpha Technology for 19 years. She also was a school crossing guard with the City of Anderson for many years. Mrs. Hanvey was a member of River Street Baptist Church and also was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, William Hanvey of the home; son, James R. Hanvey of Anderson, SC; daughter, Margaret Lou H. Brady and her husband, Christopher of Starr, SC; brother, James A. 'Hotdog' Shirley of Anderson, SC and four grandchildren, Marissa and Blake Brady and Brooke and Karlee Hanvey.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 23, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Phil McAlister and Sam Duncan.
