Born in Townville, SC she was the daughter of the late Marvin Wesley Hale and the late Beatrice Johnson Hale. Mrs. King was retired from the J.P. Stevens Company. She was a member of the Double Spring Baptist Church. She is survived by a brother, Cherry Hale and his wife Frances of Starr, SC; a special "adopted" granddaughter, Lauren Heaton; special cousin, Monteen Tanner; one niece and one nephew; and several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Laura Hale and Rachel Whitfield. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 3:30 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with the Reverend David Blizzard officiating. Interment will follow at Beaverdam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends on Sunday, April 14, 2013 from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.
