Betty Thompson Knight, age 86, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2017, at NHC of Anderson. Born in Greenville County, SC, she was the daughter of the late C.H. "Son" Thompson and the late Ruby LeeAnna Holliday Thompson. Betty worked for many years as a sales clerk for several retail stores, including BC Moore and Sky City. She enjoyed many things, but her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought the most enjoyment to her life. She was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church in Williamston. Betty is survived by her daughters, Sherry K. Fetner and her husband Rick, of Williamston, Teresa K. Hunter, of Williamston; a granddaughter raised in the home, Jennifer Hunter, of Spartanburg, SC; two grandchildren, Hannah Sharbo (Tony) and Jacob Fetner (Alexis; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Wilton Earl Knight; and eight siblings, Lee Roy Thompson, Lillie Mae Allen, George T. Thompson, Rhoda Grace Cox, Cagle Harry Thompson, William D. Thompson, Ruby E. Lollis, and Ethel Sue Crymes. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Ron Fousek officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Hannah Sharbo and will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Big Creek Baptist Church, 820 S.
