Betty Joyce Lewis, age 75, of Iva, SC, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born December 11, 1946, in Abbeville County, SC, she was the daughter of the late DeWhitt Phillips and Willie Kate Whitman Phillips. Betty enjoyed cooking, puzzles, reading, and especially spending time with her kids and grandkids. She was a member of Iva Church of God. She is survived by her sons, Tim Lewis (Marcy) of Iva, SC, and Lonnie Lewis (Katie) of Anderson, SC; sister, Carolyn Peeples of Iva, SC; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Phillips; and sister, Grace Beasley. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 17, 2022, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow visitation at Smyrna Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Robert Eugene Price officiating.
