Betty Ruth Bridges Medlin, 81 of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at her son's home in Seneca, SC

Born February 26, 1944, in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Lewis Bridges and the late Enoree Parker Bridges. She was also preceded in death by her infant son; a granddaughter; two brothers; and three sisters.

Mrs. Betty worked for Anderson School District Five for over 20 years as a bus driver. After retirement from the school district, she enjoyed painting bird houses, ceramics and other arts and crafts. She loved to travel to the mountains and especially loved her trip to the beach. She was an avid reader and loved her family.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ralph W. Medlin, children, Tony Allen, Kitty Moss, Darryl Lollis, Darlene Brown, Ronnie Phillips, Chris Medlin, Mark Medlin and Tracey Medlin; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and three great- great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at The McDougald Funeral Home at 12:30 pm with Pastor Bill French officiating. She will be privately entombed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum attended by family only. The family will greet friends and family prior to the funeral service on Tuesday from 11 am until 12 noon.
