Mrs. Betty Ann Butler Minor, 79, of Starr, SC died on Wednesday, December 16th, 2015 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson, SC with family by her side. She was born on June 11th, 1936 to the late Lee Tom Butler and Maude Welborn Butler McInnis in Hart County, GA. Mrs. Minor also had a stepfather: the late Wade McInnis. She was a proud grandmother. She loved and cherished time spent with her grandchildren. Her sisters and brothers along with several nieces and nephews were very close to her. She loved the memories she shared with them in years past such as vacations, time spent together at holidays, and often considered them her own children. Mrs. Minor is survived by her husband of 63 years: Lawrence "L.A." Minor of their home; two daughters: Yolanda Secrist and husband Tony of Bellevue, Nebraska and Tracy Biter of Simpsonville, SC; two brothers: James D. Butler of Canon, GA and Raymond Butler of Iva, SC; two sisters: Mary Young and Janice Latham of Iva, SC; and three grandchildren: Weston, William, and Abigail Secrist all of Bellevue, NE. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Saturday, December 19th, 2015 at 2:00pm with the Rev. Jerry Gray and Rev. Tyus Butler officiating. Interment will follow in Iva City Cemetery in Iva, SC. The Minor family will receive friends from 6-8:00pm on Friday evening, December 18th, 2015 at the funeral home.
