She was born in Chilhowie, VA on October 1, 1940, and was the daughter of the late James Wiley Blevins and the late Ollie Mae Thompson Blevins. Her husband, Harliss Harmon Ramey passed away January 2022. At that time the couple had celebrated 64 years of marriage.

Mrs. Ramey loved people and spent most of her life caring for others. Not only was her family loved and cared for, but her precious neighbors who didn't have family were looked after by Mrs. Ramey. She had a beautiful yard and worked meticulously to keep the flower gardens radiant. She also enjoyed crocheting making unique creations for others. Mrs. Ramey was hardworking, caring and loving. Many will miss her presence in their lives, especially her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Ramey Wilson (Chris) and her son, Michael Lee Ramey (Michelle); grandchildren, Savannah Wilson and Ryan Ramey; nieces, Teresa and Susan; nephew, Kenny; and her many friends and neighbors. Mrs. Ramey had two years of exceptional care at Powdersville Post Acute and was loved by many of the staff members who she considered family.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, she is predeceased by a brother, Roy Lee Blevins and a sister, Lillian Blevins Thomas. She was the last surviving member of her family.

The family will host a private memorial service in Chilhowie, VA in the spring of 2026.
