Betty Jean Roland, age 88, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at TerraBella at Marchbanks.

Born August 1, 1937, in Anderson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Dollie Smith. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Olin D. Roland; brother James Smith; sister-in-law, Frances Smith; and brother-in-law, Bobby J. Kirby.

Betty retired from BASF. She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church. She found her greatest happiness traveling the world with her husband, collecting memories wherever she went. An avid dancer, she lit up every room with her grace and enthusiasm, especially during her many years performing with the Anderson Senior Follies.

She is survived by her sister, Connice Kirby; nephew and niece, who were her wonderful caregivers, Keith and Brenda Smith; nephews Jimmy, Craig, and Eric, Smith; best friend, Linda Sentell.

The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Bob Marcaurelle officiating.
