Betty Hopkins Roshto, 75, of Greer, SC passed away Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Brushy Creek Cottages.

Born June 28, 1949, in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Drayton Hopkins and Betty Agnew Hopkins.  Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, John Drayton Hopkins, Jr. and sister, Jane Knight Hopkins.

Betty was a loving mother and grandmother. She received her master's degree in 1980 at the University of South Carolina in Public Health Information and was awarded "Best Dressed" at Columbia College. She was a member of Fountain Inn Presbyterian Church, where she was the former president of the Fountain Inn Presbyterian Women's Auxiliary Club. She loved being on the farm and was the 6th generation to grow up on the Historic Hopkins Farm. She was a devoted Gamecock fan, loved to travel and was an excellent baker. Her muffins were legendary, and she was known as "the muffin queen". Betty was a woman of devout faith and those who knew her will miss the light she brought to their lives.

She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Agnew Roshto; former spouse, Robert Wayne Roshto; brother, Hugh Agnew Hopkins and his wife, Lee Ann Sutherland Hopkins; grandson, Amari Korbin Nicholas Gordon; nieces and nephews, Caroline Hopkins Newton, John Drayton Hopkins III, Margaret Louise Hopkins Taylor and sister-in-law, Carol Cannon Hopkins.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at The Historic Hopkins Farm. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 pm prior to the service. Burial will be in Cannon-Byrd Memorial Park, Fountain Inn, SC.
