Betty Taylor Rousey, 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away, Sunday, December 20, 2020, at AnMed Health Medical Center. She was born May 7, 1941, in Iva, SC, and was the daughter of the late S.A. Taylor and Carrie Hart Taylor. Betty spent her career in the textile industry and was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 33 years, Paul Rousey; sons, Lonney Elton Hammond (Shelby Jean) and Kim Delton Hammond (Amy) both of Seneca, SC; brother, Robert N. Taylor (Sherlon) of Seneca, SC; sister, Laura Penland of Iva, SC; grandchildren, Chris Hammond, Brandon Lee Hammond, Drake Hammond, Tristan Paul Hammond and John Cody Cash; and great-grandchildren, Austin Hammond, Lily Hammond and Emmalynn Cash. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Deborah Lois Starrett. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, from 1:30-2:45 p.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 3:00 pm with Dr. David Gallamore officiating. Flowers will be accepted. The family will be at 419 Cottage Grove Lane, Seneca, SC 29678.
