Betty Louise Brown Swaney, age 84, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Maples in Honea Path. Born in Anderson County, on April 10, 1932, she was the daughter of the late George Glenn Brown and the late Minnie Webb Brown. She worked as an inspector at Owens Corning and was a member of Norris First Baptist Church. She is survived by a brother, Jimmy Larry Brown and his wife Diane of Anderson, SC; and a grandson, Brandon Brown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Shelby Jean Swaney Brown; a son, Tommy Dale Swaney; brothers, William Douglas Brown, Billy Ray Brown, and George Glenn Brown, Jr.; and a sister, Ruth Brown Durham. The Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Reverend Mike D'Avanzo officiating.
