Betty Farmer Thomas, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014 at McCall's Hospice House, Simpsonville, SC. Born in Habersham County, GA on May 28, 1929, Mrs. Thomas was the daughter of the late William Farmer and Lorena Ayers Farmer. She retired from Clarke-Schwebel with 26 years of service. She loved to play golf with her friends at Pine Lake Golf Course. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Mildred Tench and Macey Beasley and two brothers-in-law, Irwin Tench and William L. Beasley. Survivors include her son, Joey Thomas (Dodie) of Anderson; sister, Jean Gilreath (Larry) of Belton; one very special grandson, Morgan Thomas (Audrey) of Simpsonville and special niece, Gail Hamby of Anderson, SC, and several nieces and nephews.
