BETTY P. TUCKER April 27, 1927 - July 4, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Betty Jean Peace Tucker, age 86, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Morningside Assisted Living. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Van Peace and the late Myrtle Estell Patterson Peace. She was a hairdresser and a member of McDuffie Street Church of God. She is survived by her daughter, Faye Abbott and her husband Don, of Anderson; two grandchildren, Vanessa Billings and her husband Dwayne and Paula Johnson and her husband Wade ; also surviving are several great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Neal Tucker; a brother, Jiles Peace; and a grandson, Van Watkins. The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Apostle Richard Dunbar and Reverend Patrick Keown officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Abbeville, SC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, July 5, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
