BEULAH DIXON ENGLISH May 24, 1922 - October 8, 2007ANDERSON, SCMrs. Beulah Elizabeth Dixon English, age 85, Of 1321 Phyllis Drive, Anderson, SC and wife of the late Walter Jasper English, died Monday, October 08, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson. Born in Grantville, Coweta County, GA on May 24, 1922, Mrs. English was a daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Dixon and Myrtle Bell Mabry Dixon. For many years she was employed at the Calhoun Hotel Coffee Shop where she was known as 'Mrs. Lady'. She was of the Baptist Faith.Survivors include her sons, Douglas Weldon English of Frisco City, AL and Mickey Lane English of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Frances Webber, Joy Bond and Janet Tant, all of Anderson and Myrtle Powell of Douglasville, GA. Nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-greatgrandchildren also survive.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry Dixon, Robert Eli Dixon and Tom Jefferson Dixon, Jr.; six sisters, Ella Bennett, Betty McDonald, Frances Vaughn, Margaret Beck, Leila Dixon and a great-grandchild, Amanda Lee Goldsmith.The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with her seven grandsons serving as pallbearers. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Anderson.The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the home of her daughter, Frances Webber, 1220 Oakhill Drive, Anderson, SC.Flowers are optional.
