Obituary

Beverly Cherie Bryan Partain, age 78, of Starr, SC, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at her home.

Born April 11, 1947, in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Herman Finley Bryan and Francis Norie Willard Bryan. She was married for 52 years to Eddy O'Neal Partain until his death in 2025. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Angie Stowe and Paula Partain; one sister, Vivian Bryan; and brother, Ronald Bryan.

Cherie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Upstate Church (formerly Orrville Baptist Church) where she and her husband served as custodians for 16 years. She loved baking cakes and watching her TV shows. She especially enjoyed watching the Gospel channel.

She is survived by her son, Lance Eddy Partain (Crystal); daughters, Tracy C. Starnes (Doc) and Terri M. Ramsey (Jake); sister, Karen Waters (Jimmy); 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 12:00-12:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Rev. Larry Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Flowers are optional or memorial contributions may be made to Interim Hospice, 100 Verdae Blvd, Suite 300, Greenville, SC 29607.

The family will be at their respective homes.
