Bill Hauser Fair Play, SC Bill Hauser, of 620 Seminole Point Road, Fair Play, SC 29643, went to his eternal home on Friday, September 26, 2014. Born in Aurora, IL, on October 11, 1926, to Henry J. Hauser and Helen L. Peterson Hauser, he was christened Henry William Hauser, Jr. A long-time member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, he attended the church's 8 years of grade school. After graduating from East High School of Aurora, IL, he served in the United States Navy during World War II. Upon return to civilian life, Bill attended the University of Illinois. He graduated in 1950 with a degree in chemical engineering. After 26 years in the chemical industry, Bill joined the engineering firm, J.E. Sirrine, in Greenville, SC. In 1992 he retired to his home on Hartwell Lake to spend his golden years with his bride of 40 years, sailing, swimming, shooting, and gardening. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Virginia L. Bastian Hauser, of Hinckley, IL. He is survived by his bride Gloria M. Thurow Davis Hauser; two step-children; six grandchildren; and two great-grandsons. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 29, 2014, from 2:30 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. at Fair Play Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow at 3:30 p.m. with Reverend Mel Davis officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at St. Paul's Cemetery in Aurora, IL. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621, or to your favorite church or charity. Please shed no tears. Bill is having a joyful reunion with his parents, family, and friends. He'll be waiting there to greet you too, when it's your turn to share in the glories of those mansions that Jesus has been preparing for those who have loved him.
