Obituary

William "Bill" Harold Minyard, 81, of Anderson, SC passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at NHC of Anderson. Born August 1, 1936 in Townville, SC, Bill was the son of the late W.T. Minyard and the late Louise Jones Minyard. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Strickland Minyard. He was a member of Covenant Baptist Church and retired from Michelin with 17 years of service. He was an avid Clemson Tiger fan, loved to play golf and spend time with his family. He also worked at Murph's Grill for many years. Bill is survived by his son, Jerry Minyard (Stacy) of Anderson, SC; daughter, Teresa Jefferson (Wayne) of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Michelle Vaughn (Spence), Amanda Jefferson, Jourdan Craven (Andrew), Anna-Logan Minyard and Kyle Minyard and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his long-time friend, Arnold Perry, whom he mentored into the restaurant business. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday at Covenant Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie James officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the NHC Station One Staff for their faithful care of Mr. Minyard.
