Billie Rebecca Rowland Craft, age 85, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born May 16, 1938, in Vicksburg, MS, she was a retired nurse. A graduate of Carr Central High School, she obtained her nursing degree from Hinds Community College before entering a long nursing career which included practice in emergency and other departments at Vicksburg Hospital prior to moving to South Carolina and then practicing at Commander Nursing Center, Florence, SC, and Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson where she retired in 1998. She was a member of the Presbyterian faith having been a member of Effingham Presbyterian Church, Florence, SC, and Midway Presbyterian Church, Anderson, SC.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Melba Rowland of Vicksburg and the loved and cherished wife of 41 years to the late Hammond Milo Craft of Tylertown, MS, and Anderson. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Thelma McLaughlin of Florence, SC, Ruth Nosser and Carrie Rowland both of Vicksburg, MS.

Surviving are her sons, H.M. Craft, Jr. (Gwen), and Mark D. Craft, grandchildren, Kristen Craft Finley (Kiefer) and Christopher A. Craft, and great grandson, Milo A. Finley all of Anderson. Also surviving are brother, J.R. Rowland (Margaret Ann) of Vicksburg, MS, along with many nieces and nephews.

Apart from her love of nursing, she enjoyed being involved with S.C. Physically Handicap Society and its local and state chapters, spending time with family and new great grandbaby, playing board games, and baking her favorite and loved cakes and pies.

A private service will be held.
