Billy Ray Beck, Sr., age 85, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at AnMed Medical Center.

Born June 24, 1939, in Anderson, SC, he was the only child of the late Claude H. Beck and Ethel Lewis Beck. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Charlynn McCoy Beck; and grandson, James Barrett Beck.

Bill formerly worked for Ralph Hayes Lincoln-Mercury-Toyota for 17 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. He loved the water and could always be found on Lake Hartwell in his boat. He was also an avid Clemson Tigers fan. Bill was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be missed greatly.

He is survived by his son, Billy Ray "Bill" Beck, Jr. (Kim); daughter, Sherry Yarid (Nick); stepsons, Mark Duncan (Jeanie) and Brett Duncan (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Parker Beck (Caitlin), Natalie DeWalt (Leland), and Nicholas Yarid, III (Susan); and great grandchildren, Rhett, Josephine, and Grace.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 10:00-10:45 am at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
