Billy Ray Beebe, age 81, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at Rainey Hospice House. Born April 30, 1940, in Calhoun Falls, SC, he was the son of the late Charles Andrew Beebe and Mary Ellen Brown Beebe McCoy. He was married for 50 years to Bonnie McElrath Beebe until her death in 2010. Billy was a faithful and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved nature and the outdoors and especially enjoyed deer hunting. Billy was an active member of Upstate Church of Christ where he served as a former Elder. He is survived by his children, Dale Beebe, Julia Broyles (Brett), and Richard Beebe (Michelle); grandchildren, Shanna Stallo (Brent), Rachel Beebe, ReAnn Beebe, and Ben Gursky; great grandchildren, Nate and Hayden Stallo; and sisters, Phyllis Thrasher, Malinda Weeks, and Kay McCoy. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Lavinia Beebe Zwicky and Tommy Beebe. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 11:00 am at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with Rev. Wayne Toye officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
