Billy Miles Black, age 84, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at the Linley Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Born on January 1, 1934, in Anderson, Billy was the son of the late Clifton Black and the late Ruth Whitten Black. For sixty-three years, he was the loving and devoted husband of Sylvia Manning Black of Anderson. Billy was a graduate of Anderson Boys' High School. For several years, Billy was a funeral director at the McDougald Funeral Home. He was the owner and operator of the Centerville Dress Shop. Billy was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Sylvi-a, Billy is survived by a son, Steven M. Black of Anderson; a daughter, Laura B. Tunstall and her husband Andy, of Anderson; a step-granddaughter, Hannah Tunstall of Clemson; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by two brothers, Clifton Black, Jr. and Harold N. Black; and two sisters, Margaret Hill and Frances Owen. The funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Billy Black will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at 2:30 p.m. at Oakwood Baptist Church, with Rev. Michael Jones and Mr. Jim Traynor officiating. A private burial will be held later at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Oakwood Baptist Church on Sunday, January 7, 2018, from 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Billy M.
