BILLY BOSTICSEPTEMBER 24, 1936 - May 26, 2011STARR, SC ' Billy Sebe Bostic, age 74, of 2306 Mountain Creek Church Road, went to be with his heavenly father on Thursday, May 26, 2011, at his home.Born September 24, 1936, in Anderson, SC, he was a son of the late Ernest Bostic and Ruby Speed Bostic. He was a graduate of Starr High School and Anderson College. He served in the United States Navy and retired from Clark-Schwebel Corp. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Bostic enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as all sports. Additionally, he was a known beekeeper who was a member of the BeeKeepers Club of Anderson. For nearly fifty years he was a member of Starr Baptist Church where he had served as a Sunday School Teacher as well as Deacon.Survivors include his wife of fifty-two years, Mildred Moore Bostic; their daughters: Angie Bostic Thomas and husband, Marc, of Chattanooga, TN, and Gena Bostic Alberson and husband, Dean, of Starr, SC; two beloved grandchildren: Anna Thomas and Brooks Thomas of Chattanooga, TN; three sisters: Joan Smith of Iva, SC, Betty Yeargin of Anderson, SC, and Pat Hanks of Iva, SC: and three brothers: Carlton Bostic of Iva, SC, Jerry Bostic of Sandy Springs, SC, and Raymond Bostic of Iva, SC. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a daughter, Jill Melissa Bostic; and two brothers: Leroy Bostic and Albert Bostic.The family will receive friends at Starr Baptist Church on Saturday, May 28, 2011, from 2:30 pm until 3:45 pm. The Funeral Service conducted by the Reverend Tony Howell will follow at 4pm.
