Billy George Brown Pendleton, SC Billy George Brown, age 77, formerly of Kirk Lane, Pendleton, SC, passed away on February 26, 2014, in Flat Rock, NC. Born in Anderson on April 20, 1936, he was the son of the late Avis Dalton Brown and the late Willie Pauline Nichols Brown. Billy was a 1953 graduate of Pendleton High School and served in the Navy. He worked as an electrician and was a former member of the Electrical Worker Union Local 908 and Local 606. He was of the Baptist Faith. He is survived by his children, Janna L. Deitz and Richard E. Brown; sister, Marilyn Brown; 5 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, a number of great-grandchildren; special niece, Melinda Gilreath; and a half-brother, Jimmy Maroney He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Gambrell Brown; son, Tony C. Brown; brother, Larry Joe Brown and a sister, Linda Simpson. The Funeral will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 11:00am with Rev. Nick Brown officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.
