BILL HARRIS October 4, 1940 - July 21, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Billy Joe Harris, Sr., age 72, of Anderson, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2013. Born in Anderson, SC he was the son of the late Monroe Harris and Alma Palmer Harris. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was the former owner of Harris Tree Service. Bill was an avid fisherman. He attended Eureka Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary Harris; his children, Joey, Terry, Charles and Bobby Harris; three step-sons, Danny, Matt and Joe Gibson; a step-daughter, Sherri Wiggins; two brothers, James and Grover Harris; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Michael Harris. The Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 3:30 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Sam Duncan officiating. The family will be at the home of his son, Terry, 126 Lemans Drive, Anderson and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home prior to the service on Tuesday from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM.
