Billy Ralph Owens, age 80, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born September 9, 1942, in Anderson County, SC, he was the son of the late Jim Bob Owens and Bessie Jones Owens. He was also preceded in death by an infant son, Baby Boy Owens; and 8 brothers and sisters. Billy was a retired foreman for Pike Electric and enjoyed farming. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved his cat Fancy. He is survived by his wife, Judy Rebecca McCoy Owens; son, Jeffrey Bryant Owens (Loretta) of Belton, SC; brother, Marvin Owens (Wanda) of Anaheim, CA; nephew who was like a son, Stanley Owens; and favorite sister-in-law, Bobbie Suttles of Belton, SC. The family will receive friends Friday, April 14, 2023, from 12:00-1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Whitefield Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bob Clardy officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
