Sammons, age 62, of 156 Fyffe Drive, died Friday, July 20, 2007 at Brookside Living Center.Born in Oconee County, Billy was a son of Fances Sammons Carlton of Anderson the late Raymond Sammons. He was owner and operator of Sammons Auto Sales and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.In addition to his mother he is survived by his step-father, Jack Carlton; a son, Timothy Ray Sammons and his wife, Shanna of Townville; a daughter, Christie McBride and her husband, Don of Anderson and a sister, Sue Simmons and her husband, Donnie of Iva, SC. A granddaughter, Raychel McBride also survives.In addition to his father, he was predeceased by a sister, Patsy Ann Poole.The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2007 at 2:00 pm in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Reverend Dr. Ray Grant and the Reverend Gordon Taylor. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 22, 2007 at the funeral home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence of his mother, 2056 Avant Circle, Anderson.THE McDOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements.
