Billy Scott Stone, age 86, of 110 Stagecoach Drive, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at Rainey Hospice House. Born in Pendleton, SC on April 8, 1929, he was the son of the late Leroy W. Stone and the late Ruby Scott Stone. He was the husband of the late Jane Vogler Stone until her death in 2010. Billy was a graduate of Pendleton High School, and received a business degree from Forrest Business College. He worked for many years as an accountant at Belton Industries. Mr. Stone attended New Prospect Baptist Church. He is survived by a daughter, Paula S. Johnson and her husband, Johnny, of Anderson. In addition to his parents and his wife, Jane, Billy was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Stone. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with Rev. Dr. Tony Smith and Rev. Tom Turner officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at The McDougald Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Contributions in memory of Mr. Stone may be made to the family to assist with expenses, Mrs. Paula S.
