Billy Ray White, age 84, of Anderson, SC, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. Born October 1, 1937, in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of the late Judson Monroe White and Marie Pierce White. He was married to Linda Lou Herring White until her death in December 2020. Billy was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was retired from the City of Anderson where he worked as an animal control officer. He was a member of Covenant Baptist Church. He is survived by his sons, William G. White (Dianna) of Anderson, SC, and Barry Lee White (Gina) of Vacaville, CA; brother, Monroe White; and grandchildren, Nicole, James, Brayden, Tanner and Tona. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Tona Ray White; sister, Helen Wilson; and brother, Charles White. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 2, 2021, from noon to 1:30 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow visitation at 2:00 pm at New Silver Brook Cemetery with Rev. Mark Entrekin officiating.
