Billye Jo Grady Austin, age 94, of Anderson, SC, passed away at her home on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. She was born August 12, 1928, in Sayre, OK, and was the daughter of the late Joseph Berriman Grady and Mary Geraldine Perrin Grady. She was also preceded in death by her son, Wilford Thomas; daughters, Margaret Carol Wallace and Sandra Diane Gallagher; granddaughter, Maggie Gallagher; and 7 sisters. Billye Jo retired from Bank of America after 25 years. She enjoyed painting, dancing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Nevitt Forest Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Michael J. Austin of Anderson, SC; daughter, Elizabeth Jane Moorehead (Seth) of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Joseph Austin, Joshua Gallagher, George Gallagher, Grady Austin, Bryce Austin, and Noah Austin; 3 great grandchildren; and special friend and caregiver, Susan Keasler. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Winter Park, FL.
