COFFEE August 31, 1923 - May 27, 2008BELTON, SCBishop Ernest Joel Coffee, age 84, husband of Juanita Ransom Coffee of 214 Sherwood Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Anderson, SC on August 31, 1923, Bishop Coffee was a son of the late William Decatur Coffee and Katie Risner Coffee. He was a retired minister with the Church of God of Prophecy and a member of the Belton Church of God of Prophecy. He served several churches in South Carolina, his last pastorate being Hampton Church of God of Prophecy in Hampton, SC. He received his Ordination as Bishop in 1972 and was former District Overseer in South Carolina. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Ransom Coffee of the home; sons, Ernest Randall Coffee and his wife, Dianne of Anderson and Kenneth Michael Coffee and his wife, Frances of Blacksburg, SC; daughter, Nancy Ann Crawford and her husband, Haskell of Anderson; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.He was predeceased by eight brothers and one sister.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Bo Trotter, Luther Cooke and State Overseer Reverend Ken Baker.
