BOB DOWD November 1, 1928 - July 14, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Robert Steven Dowd, age 84, husband of Joan Marie Walsh Dowd, of Anderson, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2013, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Andrew Dowd and the late Margaret Shalley Dowd. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and worked as a structural engineer. Bob was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his sons, Bob Jr., and Mark, and three daughters, Mary, Margaret and Elizabeth. The Memorial Mass to celebrate and honor the life of Bob will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 10:00 AM with Father Ignatius Smith, OFM officiating. The burial of Ashes will be held at a later date in Raleigh, NC. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Building Fund, 1200 Cornelia Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
