OBITUARY, FLAGMR. BOB LONGSEPTEMBER 26, 1929 - June 16, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Robert Ellis Long, age 77, husband of the late Edith Medlin Long passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Mr. Long was born on September 26, 1929 in Pelzer, South Carolina and was a son of the late Ellis Edgar Long and Lurea Eaton Long. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp having served from 1947 to 1952. Mr. Long was a self-employed contractor.Survivors include three daughters: Paula Long Catoe and her husband, Timothy of Sandy Springs; Pamela Long Wham of Anderson; and Patrice Long Coker of La France; two sons: Robert Perry Long and his wife, Melinda and John Patrick Long, all of Anderson; one sister, Mary 'Tootsie' Long Finley of Greenville; eight grandchildren: Chase Wham, Dustin Long, Ashley Wham, Ali Catoe, Anna Catoe, Brittany Coker, Colten Long Miller, and Anna Grace Campbell.In addition to Mr. Long's wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Earline Haggerty and a brother, Tommy Long.The Funeral Service will be held at 12noon on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverend Courtney Krueger officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00am until 12noon on Tuesday, June 19, 2007.The family will be at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Timothy Catoe, 1107 Moorhead Place, Sandy Springs.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Richard M.
