Barbara Ann Turpen Higgins, 84, of Anderson, SC passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Rainey Hospice House.

Born in Rabun County, GA, she was a daughter of the late D. C. "Turp" Turpen and the late Anne Roach "Nanny" Turpen. In 2014, she lost her beloved husband, Harold David "Dave" Higgins after more than 50 years of marriage. Bobbi was a charter member of High Praises Church.

Bobbi, as she was known, along with her mother, operated Nanny's Nursery for 45 years. She loved all creatures great and small; children and animals. She was so proud of her little farm and enjoyed raising chickens. Her personality was caring,

loving, and always helping others. Bobbi's heart for caring and giving will be missed.

Left to cherish wonderful memories of Bobbi, are her loving daughter Tiffany Brooke Abercrombie (Jonathan); grandchildren, Riley Abercrombie and Jackson Abercrombie; sister, Dixie McClain; and 9 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a sister, Betty Turpen Roberts and brother, Kenneth Austin Turpen.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm at High Praises Church. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the church with Pastor Chris Sustar, Rev. Grady Murphy, and Mr. Brett Schmidt officiating. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Veterans Mausoleum.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson SC.

The family will be at their respective homes.
