Bobbie Huff Ball
Bobbie Huff Ball, age 87, of Anderson, joyfully joined Ellis Ball, her husband and soul mate of sixty-nine years, in Heaven on Saturday morning, June 27, 2015, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born September 20, 1927 to the late Walter S. Huff and the late Morine Stevens Huff. Mrs. Ball is survived by three children Sandra and Thomas Webber of Spartanburg, Samuel Ellis Ball Jr. of Anderson, and Susan Elaine Ball of Jackson, GA; three grandsons, Steven Craig Ball and Tammy of Corning, NY; Samuel Chandler Ball and Kristyn of Anderson, and Stephen Edward Webber and Allison of Boiling Springs; four great grandchildren, Ashlyn Michelle Ball, Steven Cooper Ball, Matthew Templeton Webber, Emily Catherine Webber and eagerly awaiting Wofford Samuel Ball; two brothers, Charles Huff and wife Sherrill of Greer and Walter Huff and wife JoAnn of Greenville.
Bobbie was employed by the Anderson School District Five, working in the offices and various other positions at McCants Junior High and T. L Hanna High School. She touched the lives of many students and maintained life-long friendships made during her years in public education. Above all, her family was the main focus of her life and she worked diligently to insure their needs were always met and their goals achieved. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Mrs. Ball was an active member of First Baptist Church of Anderson where she was a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class, and served in children's ministry. The family would like to thank Kim Holmes, Carolyn Jonson, Tammy Lee and LaToya Williams for their kind and patient care.
A funeral service to celebrate and honor the life of Bobbie Ball will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Jim Thomason officiating. Interment will follow at MJ "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Craig and Chandler Ball, Tommy and Stephen Webber, Tyrone Williams and Chuck Scott. The family will receive friends at McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
