Bobbie "Bill" King Burriss, of Anderson, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at Rainey Hospice House. Born on December 19, 1934, in Oconee, County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Carl Hampton King and the late Junie Faye Grant King. Mrs. Burriss was a graduate of Seneca High School and a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Bobbie is survived by a daughter, Cheryl "Cheri" B. Cox and her husband, Mark, of Anderson; a brother, Hoke King of Rock Hill, SC; a sister, Betty Griffin of Lancaster, SC; three grandchildren, Jessica Thomason (Kevin) of Columbia, Lauren Glenn (Sam) of Anderson, and Jacob Thomason (Morgan) of Anderson; five great-grandchildren, Kane Barczak, Jemma Barczak, Kora Thomason, Taylor Sweezey, and Bailey Sweezey. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Burriss was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bill" Louis Burriss; two brothers, Carl and Wayne King; four sisters, Wendell Stancil, Jeanette Donald, Doris Moore, and Jewell Pittarelli. A Graveside Service to honor and celebrate the life of Mrs. Bobbie Burriss will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 1 p.m. at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Bob Marcaurelle officiating.
