Bobby Lee Allen, age 75, of Anderson, SC, devoted husband to Nancy Whitten Allen for 57 years, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022. Born November 12, 1946, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Rev. Ace Allen and the late Marion Woods Allen. Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Army for three years. He loved fishing, the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. He was also a member of the House of Prayer. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Whitten Allen; children, Lisa Mitchell, Pamela Williams, Dwayne Allen, Wanda Richardson, and Mark Allen; brothers, Ronnie, James, Terry, and Calvin Allen; 18 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, A.J. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow visitation in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Jerry Nation officiating. Burial will follow at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery with military honors. Bobby will be honorably transported to the cemetery in his daughter's funeral coach. Those serving as pallbearers will be Josh, Brandon, Travis, Mark, Justin, and Joseph. The family will be at the home of Bobby's daughter Lisa. Flowers will be accepted, and memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 E.
