Obituary

Bobby Sam Bell Belton, SC Bobby Sam Bell, age 75, passed away on February 8, 2015 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson County, SC, he was the son of the late Sam C. Bell and the late Bertha Stone Bell. He was a graduate of Palmetto High School. Bobby was a member of Cheddar Fire Department since it's beginning in 1965, serving as former Chief and member of the Board of Directors. He was also a member of Hoyt Mason Lodge #322 of Cheddar for 40 years. Bobby was a life-long member of Whitefield Baptist Church and the Marvin Ellis Sunday School Class. Mr. Bell spent his entire career working in textiles and retired from Springs Industries - Wamsutta Plant, after 24 years of service. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Faye Stafford Bell. He was the loving father of Rita Woody and her husband Dean, of Greenville, SC and Dorothy Jones and her fianc, Dowell Morgan of Starr, SC. He was the grandfather to the joys of his life, Shannon Morgan and her husband Dusty, of Starr, SC and Sam Woody of Greenville, SC; and great-grandfather to Caylee Morgan, of Starr, SC; also surviving is one dearly loved brother, J.C. Bell, of Belton, SC. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Bell and a sister, Lula Mae Creamer. The Funeral Service will be held at Whitefield Baptist Church on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend Ron Fousek and Reverend Bob Clardy officiating. Mr. Bell will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence, 1000 Bell Road, Belton, SC 29627, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, February 9, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Operation Care, Mission of Palmetto Baptist Association, 3 Middleton Boulevard, Williamston, SC 29697.
