BOBBY CHARPING January 2, 1929 - October 23, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Bobby Joe Charping, age 78, husband of Carrie Sue Culberson Charping of 5105 Slater Road, Anderson, SC, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Anderson, SC on January 2, 1929, Mr. Charping was a son of the late Wister James Charping and Clyde Brown Charping. He was retired from the United States Postal Service and was a member of Graceview Baptist Church where he attended the Jabez Sunday School class. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Anderson County Korean Veterans Association.Survivors include his wife, Carrie Sue Culberson Charping of the home; son, Ronald Gary Charping of Lexington, SC; daughter, Deborah Ann Alexander and her husband, Wayne of Iva, SC; sister-in-law, Claudine Charping of Anderson; one grandson, Marshall Craig Alexander and one great-granddaughter, Kirstan Colby Alexander. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Elizabeth Smith; brother, James Frank Charping; grandson, Russell Wayne Alexander and granddaughter, Carrie Marie Alexander.The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with the Reverends Cecil Mitchum and Michael Smith officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 25, 2007 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.The family will be at the residence.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Haven of Rest Ministries, P.O.
